Snorri flicks off a fake spray of damaged hydraulic fluid that is on his Hussar's hands. "I've got about one shot left before I'm going to have to vent again. I'm going to try to make it an up the kilt shot."

The Dragon had insisted on trying to climb the hill. Well, that also made it a target to ping. Snorri pushes his Hussar's speed to the limits , circling along the hill before climbing it, seeking a shot at the Dragon's back.

Re: EVENT: Simulation Day: Alpha Team (Day T-1, Afternoon, S

As Maja gave her ultimatum, the ShadowHawk did not move, and no voice answered. Instead, the Grand Dragon pivoted to target her with it's weapons and unleashed everything it had. Lasers sliced down the right side of the mech, vaporizing chunks of armor from leg and arm, while the Particle projection cannon shredded plating from the left torso. (Hit RL+RA+LT, 5+5+10 damage) The volley of missiles exploded uselessly around, while the back-laser knifed past the Cicada to no effect.

In turn, the Cicada charged forward, guns blazing, and managed to trace the Dragon with both machine guns, scoring minor damage across the machine. (Hit RA, glancing hit RT, 2+1 damage) The hail of brass was atomized as the large laser mounted on the Hussar flashed past, narrowly missing both mechs, the Hussar having climbed the back side of the hill to gain a firing vantage.

The Dragon couldn't stop and collect itself, however, as Bruun pushed his machine into a run, charging up the hillside and unleashing his own laser at point blank range, scoring a glancing blow to the legs of the Dragon. (glancing blow LL, 2 damage)

The sudden shift in weight caused by nearly a ton of armor vaporizing off the mech sent the Wyvern staggering, but Maja kept it standing (Passed piloting check to remain standing)

The flurry of kicks and punches expected did not materialize, as the Cicada, Valkyrie, and Dragon all moved to avoid and attack all at once, and no blows were landed, but in turn, no mechs overbalanced either.

After that volley, the Dragon glowed red hot in the thermal scans, and even the naked eye could see the heat billowing off the mech, so intensely the heat sinks glowed searing white hot. The observers outside could hear the fans in the Dragon simulator, so hard were they working to heat the pod. The machine sagged, growing still, as the emergency shutdown temporarily disabled the mech to until the heat-sinks could compensate. (Piloting roll to avoid shtudown failed, Piloting roll to avoid ammo explosion success)

Hussar - 5 damage - 12 excess heat -- no damage this turn -- Engine critical (increased heat gains)

Hostile Status:

“Shadowhawk if you do not surrender we will have to- ACH!”
Maja rocks violently as her mech nearly stumbles under the grand dragon’s salvo
“ Skit också! Okay big Dragon, if you want some.”

Gunning her hers Maja manoeuvre the wyvern to point blank range with the opposing mech and mashes the big red ‘fire all’ button.

((Jump jet to 0907 and firing all weapons the immobile grand dragon, focusing on the legs if possible.))

Bruun, livid as the brawling mechs manage to miss each other, stays committed to his previous plan. With the Dragon now unable to dodge, though, "It's time for you to take a seat, pal..."

"This might be my last shot folks. After this, I think I have to bug out" Snorri could feel his body dripping with sweat, the simulator kicking into high gear to replicate how badly he was overclocking thigs.

Which they wouldn't be normally, thank you early damage bullshit

But if there was going to be a moment to lay it all out for a shot this was it: an unobstructed shot at his opponents immobile back. He had yet to hit a single time, so this very well might have been the only chance he would get. Snorri takes aim, holding the Hussar still and trusting that no one would be shooting back...or might have a better target.

The dragon shuddered as fire poured in from all sides, and then it blossomed into an extraordinary fireball as the internal magazines cooked off, almost 100 Long Range Missiles detonating in a chain, throwing a shockwave and blast of shrapnel in every direction, and then the screens turned black.

With a soft hiss, the doors of the pods unsealed, and the computer announced, calmly:

Team Alpha Victory.
