Watching Warriors Work (DT-1, Afternoon, Simulator Room)

Andrea relaxes her posture slightly as he speaks, hand still gripping the scabbard to keep it still and in its proper place. When Yuri finishes she releases the sheathed sword and relaxes completely.

[Theodore Beker]

Theo deftly pocketed his beer with one hand as he raised the other to attention. As the orders came down he moved to ease. "Well, those postings should be interesting."

[Dorgan Bruun]

Yuri gave them all a moment to do whatever they were going to do (feel free to post your reaction so Yuri can mentally note it) and then saluted...

Bruun had popped his head out of the sweat box in time to catch the call to attention, and scrambled out in time to resemble someone who'd been taught how to do it.

"At ease!"

From his perch on the rim of the pod, he could see everyone crammed into the cramped room. "First off, that was good piloting by all of you. Unstructured, but definitely the raw material is there."

Bruun taps a mostly forgotten memory of a "parade rest" pose and slides into it. When the hell did I learn this?

He tracks the major's feedback closely -- I wouldn't have been so nice, he thinks -- aside from being occasionally distracted by some kind of shadow down the line. Is somebody swaying in formation? He tries to keep his eyes forward and ignore the gentle movement.

As Creed departs, he actually manages about one-third of a respectable salute. Yikes. Maybe better next time.

[Snorri Tycho]

Snorri let out a breath he hadn't been realizing that he had been holding when they were dismissed.

How long has it been since I've been through that? What is it, nigh on five years now?

"Well, he's not wrong about my aim. Too many years of running around and waiting until you get lucky I suppose."

I looks over the group, stopping at a familiar face in Felicity. He does quick double take, noticing something off.

"Felicity...I don't know if there is a gentle way to ask this...is that a tail?"

[Felicity]

The lady in question had been turning around and placing her hands in her hoodie pockets when Snorri called out to her. Her shoulders rose up as she tensed. Gently, she eased her hands back out into the open.

"...Yes."

She eyed him warily. The tail itself flicked up and then down, but the tip was now curling upwards.

[Dorgan Bruun]

Bruun caught the quick movement in his peripheral vision, and... What the devil?

Questioning look on his face, Bruun slowly walks toward Snorri and Felicity. Not sure what to make of the situation, he stands there awkwardly, scratching his beard in thought.

"Um." That's all he's got, so turns to Snorri to see the other man's reaction.

[Snorri Tycho]

He looked her over, eyes drawn to the movement of the tip.

"Huh."

Then he offered her a smile and continued on as everything was normal.

"I think we do have to thank you guys for going first. Yeah, the parameters of how they were fighting was different, but it helped to have a glimpse of what we were up against."

[Felicity]

She smiles back calmly and waits a moment more. When the topic shifted she relaxed. Her tail and shoulders both lowered.

"Yea, we drew the bad straw there. Information is ammunition, si?"

[Andrea DeTroyes]

Andrea raised a brow at Felicity's apparent nervousness over her tail, but says nothing of it.

"We were actually wondering if the Major intends to run that hot in a real battle, he was cooking in our fight as well."

Meanwhile, from further down the room

muffled by distance and the sounds of machinery"Oh my god that woman har en tail! Why hasn't anyone noticed!?!?!"
Maja waves her arms up and down while pointing both of them, causing her to bob in and out if her pod hatch.
