Rubble Coast - Description/Locations

Image

The Rubble coast is a serpentine of beaches and sand breaks, a winding collection of rocky beaches, cliffs, and an astonishing number of small crabs which scuttle about whenever a large rock is overturned.

Ash Beach

The beaches themselves are a mixture of natural rock and concrete which has been worn down over centuries into porous pebbles, the result of the devastation which sent entire cities shattered into dust and deposited across the world. Scavengers sometimes come to look for valuable metals or knick knacks, but the easiest beaches to reach are long since picked clean, though strange structures still dot the land, abandoned centuries hence, filled with rusted and forgotten equipment. Countless secluded coves and estuaries dot the coastline, making a thorough search a daunting task. Ash Beach is the name given to the largest contiguous stretch, several miles long, and it is representative of most of the region.

Mirror Cove

This relatively sheltered cove holds an ancient transmitter station of some sort, which might hold some secret in the garbled transmission it seems to have on loop.

This location is mildly dangerous to visit without a method of transportation that can handle fast moving waters, such as a mech or hovercraft.

Salvage Lead - Star League Leopard Crash

A dilapidated metal skeleton lay in the shallows, the hollowed out wreck of a Leopard class dropship. The craft was smaller than the Calico, only able to field four mechs, and more like a flying box than an egg, but it still felt very strange to see such a large and important thing left to rot this way. The waves lapped at the nose of the ship which was partially submerged, a skeletal remnant of corrosion and rust, but the back end was high up the beach, and was windswept, half submerged in sand, and otherwise abandoned... but somewhat intact.

It was clear the ship had crashed, hard, from the massive furrow in the ground running inland - it had dragged across hundreds of yards before coming to a stop.

Inside, among fallen gantries and rusted metal corridors, the mech hangar still contained 4 mechs... in an unknown condition.
