(Day 2, LE, Storage) It's Time to Heal

[Karlotta Roth]

"I'm a medic. Military type, not office type. It's called a field medic. I'm a soldier since I go to battlefields, but I'm expected to take care of people instead of shooting. In some places I bring weapons with me, in some, I do not." She explained on 2+2 terms, not sure how much of military terminology he knew. "This area of the galaxy we are in is dangerous because the great potencies do not protect it, so I carry weapons around."

[Comstar]

"Oh."

The teen thought about that. "I'm sorry your friend died. It's all... it's all wrong. I thought I'd go on an adventure. Now I just wish I could go home."

[Karlotta Roth]

"Now I answered your questions, can I ask you some? You can ask things still whilst I'm checking you."
She opened her surgeon toolkit and began to separate what she would use for a routine check.

[Comstar]

"Sure... I guess."

The Teen looked suspicious.

"What do you need to check? I thought I got treated."

[Karlotta Roth]

"Your recovery. Temperature, how frequently you breathe, how frequently your heart beats, how strongly your heart beats, your pain, if something is blocking your airways, how much time it takes for your blood to travel around your body, if the stitches are doing well. Some of those have nothing to do with your injuries of last night, but I need to check those to see if you won't develop some consequence, like an infection. Just because you are healed, it does not mean that you are completely healed. To be honest, I don't think you will ever be."

"I guess I deserve it."

He didn't resist, he just sat.

"At least I'm alive."

[Karlotta Roth]

She approaches the teenager with the box, on top of it, the things she would use. "Can you take the clothing over your chest off? Actually... Have you ever been on a hospital? Ever gone to a doctor?"

[Comstar]

"We had a doctor from town."

The kid frowned. "What's a hospital?"

Taking off the shirt, he looked embarrassed, in the way pubescent boys often were around women, as if unsure if he should be self conscious.

[Karlotta Roth]

She sighed mentally, but with a great deal of pity. She did know that most people on her home planet were like this.

"It's a building full of doctors. On big planets, you don't go to the house of the doctor. You go to the hospital."

"Oh... that sounds nice."

He coughed, and stared awkwardly at the wall. "We had to go for hours to reach the doctor. I miss my family... I hope they're ok."
