Taking Count (Day T-2, Afternoon, Mech Hangar)

[Dr. Reinhardt]

Glancing at the Wyvern, "Missiles then?" He frowns, "Do you have any demolitions sensors? Someone could walk around with one, and note where there is residue or concentration that isn't expected and see if it got loaded in a towel closet or something that way?"

[Freja Fogel]

She took another sip of her coffee; considering the matter while the smarter people were talking.

"Tons," she said suddenly, as if the mere word should mean something more than it did.

And took another sip of coffee.

"...that's a lot."

[Nora Crossette]

Nora shook her head.

"That's not a bad idea, but I don't have anything like that personally."

Glancing at the woman, she nodded. "Yes... 2 of our 3 tons of reloads were misplaced... so about 240 missiles. Not really small - but this is a big ship, and it could've ended up mixed in with some other cargo somewhere. I don't know for sure. At least they're not dangerous until they're armed. Not very dangerous, that is."

[Dr. Reinhardt]

"I can see if the armory has anything, or there could be some stuff amongst the Echo gear, since we were planning to do some excavation work possibly."

[Snorri Tycho]

Snorri listens to the patter in the background. A bunch of ammo had seemingly gone missing

"I remember stories about soldiers selling off reloads on the black market or to other squads for a quick CBill. Is anyone surprisingly flush?"

She took another sip. "...hard to mistake a bunch of missiles for rolls of toiletpaper."

[Dr. Reinhardt]

"If they came on board and haven't left yet, then it is unlikely that anyone has sold them, as there is only one mech unit on board, and infantry aren't going to be firing them." He frowns, "The Union has LRM 20 launchers, is it possible they accidentally got stored in the ships Arsenal instead? Maybe someone didn't read the label close enough and thought they were the Calico's reloads?"

[Snorri Tycho]

She took another sip. "...hard to mistake a bunch of missiles for rolls of toiletpaper."

"I don't know, I have heard that two tons of ordinance tends to have a bowel cleaning effect. That's only when you're facing it though..."

[Nora Crossette]

Nora snorted into her coffee, spilling it on her chin, and then scowled at the pair of them.

"Look what you made me do with your jokes... bleh."

Setting the cup down, she wiped her chin as genteelly as she could and then dried her hands on a nearby pile of hazard suits.

"That isn't a terrible idea - you may want to see if there is anything in the hold. No rush, you have two days, but if you do turn them up, let me know."

Smiling, she brushed a few drops of liquid off her pad, and added, "You seem pretty knowledgeable, Doc. What brings you so far from a comfy tenured office?"

[Dr. Reinhardt]

He smiles, "I guess my marker got called in. My student debt got sold a few times, and eventually ended up in the hands of Echo Company. " He shrugs, "So now they have a research expert on Starleague history, with minors in Archeology, and Geology. I have some skill in Demolitions, mining, and mechanics and I have studied mech design for most of my adult life, though I have never been in the same room with one of these colossi before. "
