(Day 2, LE, Storage) It's Time to Heal

[Karlotta Roth]

"I need to know if the Commander just expected me to play nurse or doesn't care. I'm way too busy as a field medic, surgeon, and infantry already. Guess I can know the answer with another question. Have you been fed? Anyway, stick your tongue out."

She pressed his fingers with some force, looking at how much time it would take them to go from white to red again, dropping his hand and putting the data on her noteputer. Karlotta took a small rod from her kit and hit the kid lightly on the chest with it to hear if the sound echoed or was too dull (but indirectly to see if he would as well complain from pain).

[Comstar]

"He didn't say. I don't need a sitter. I'm not a kid!"

With a scowl, he stuck out his tongue on command.

[Karlotta Roth]

"But you are someone who is recovering from a high-risk surgery and has no walking access to food or water. Have you been fed?" The voice was more authoritarian now.

[Comstar]

"Yes."

He looked a bit wary. "I mean, they let me go to the bathroom sometimes. The soldier outside the door has to go with me though."

[Karlotta Roth]

"Nice. Have you taken a bath? You should, especially with stitches. I can get you a fresh change. They probably don't have hospital clothes here, so I'll have to ask one of the ladies."

[Comstar]

"Ladies? I don't want to wear ladies clothing." He looked mortified. "And where could I take a bath? I don't think they'd do it in here."

[Karlotta Roth]

"Fine, I'll go ask Brunn or Thomas for something then, but they will be oversized. Do you frequently feel short of breath or headaches?"

[Comstar]

"I mean, I feel lots of things right now." The teen frowned. "I mean... I don't know what I'm feeling one second to the next... uh... doctor."

He realized he didn't know her name and frowned. How had he not asked? Was it rude to ask now?

[Karlotta Roth]

She typed down the data on her noteputer, looking quickly at his neck in its natural position and typing down some more information as well. "Just one more thing and we will reach half of this. The next half is measuring your blood circulation."

[Comstar]

"Uh, ok."

He glanced up at her, heart rate rising. "What's that?"
