Nora the explorer? (Day 2 EA)

[Felicity]

"A lot of us don't know the details of our contract. About salvage and such. I hope you get a chance to share. It'd motivate the other mechwarriors, si?"

At the question she stops and really thinks it over. "Well, eehm, there's so much. I mean, aside from some old SLDF mechs... Maybe even royals. Actually, I'd switch out to a Highlander or a Catapult if we found one, but... Have you seen the specs on a Lynx? Those things were beautiful. Este, but being more realistic, one thing, well... Wouldn't that have to be something like that Helm core they found? With some lostech. Or better yet, some forgotten star league mech factory. That would be huge right? Girl can dream."

She looks at Nora and smiled. "Do look up the old Lynx. They made them so much more amazing than the later designs."

[Nora Crossette]

"Heh. Wouldn't that be something... a working battlemech factory.

Nora's expression turned momentarily dopy, a fangirlish smile on her face, and then she sighed as reality re-asserted itself. "It would also get us flattened by the Federated Commonwealth in about three seconds as they took ownership of it, laws of discovery be damned."

Shuffling the papers, she added, "I can't break down the contract too easily, because the salvage rights on this one are... weird. Suffice to say, even those of you who own a battlemech have a clause covering storage of the mech and potential acquisition of a new model as a personal item, if we find something you particularly desire. The final payouts are going to come through an end of contract summary of what we were able to extract in material goods, and then supplemented through any financial estimates behind the information retrieved... which means it can't really be tabulated until we know what we have."

Tapping the side of her nose, she added, in a quiet voice, "But if all these leads you mentioned pan out... there might be some new mech owners before long."

[Felicity]

"W-well, we could sell the information and our Company having guarded it to the Feds first, right?" Felicity suggests. "I mean, they'd not be completely unreasonable." She paused. "Okay, maybe best we didn't find one, yea." The more she thought about it the more problematic it would be.

As conversation moved on she nods a couple times to show she followed. It loosely made sense to her. She didn't want to have to think too hard on it. Felicity did smile cheerfully as Nora finished. In an equally quiet voice she responds. "I think they'd like that. If it is as lucrative as it seems it might be, then I hope to help enough to pay you back for helping me before."

Felicity gave the table a couple of taps. "Touch wood it all goes well, si?"

[Nora Crossette]

"Yes indeed."

Nora nodded, smiled, and took another sip of coffee.

"I should get back to it."

[Felicity]

"Thanks again. See you about Miss Crossette."

Waving gently, Felicity slipped out to leave Nora to her own devices.
