Taking Count (Day T-2, Afternoon, Mech Hangar)

[Freja Fogel]

"I'd just..." she considered the question for far too long given the answer that followed "...buy stuff. I guess."

She hadn't really thought about having money yet, clearly.

[Snorri Tycho]

"Hess, Huss, I call 'im that as my mood suits me. When the name isn't "you stupid piece of junk"" Snorri offers a wicked grin.

"The Combine started getting these in the last days of the War. It's not quite the shelf standard ones from when they first rolled out. It looks like they decided that they liked the basic design, and decided to build them with parts that they had in abundance. It doesn't quite have the same range of the laser, but that means it doesn't need to be as fiddly with the heatsinks. Thinner armor, but it was never designed to take the brunt anyway."

"As for how I got Huss, I, how do I phrase it, "acquired him as severance at my departure from the Combine Armed Forces". Yeah, that works."

Snorri was curious if anyone was going to call him out on exactly what that meant.

[Nora Crossette]

Nora just smirked at the pad, and added, "Well, just don't think we pay severance here, mister Tcyho."

Her tone was sufficiently dry that she clearly knew exactly what he meant.

Glancing at Freja and her non-answer, she added "Well, I guess plenty of folks don't know what they're going to do in the future, so I shouldn't be too harsh."

[Snorri Tycho]

"It'd take quite a bit a' doin for our partin' to be quite so acrimonious, yessir." Snorri grinning back. " But we really should wrangle that ammunition dontcha know"

[Nora Crossette]

"You'll get no argument from me."

She tapped her chin, and added, "If you do find them, you'll find me down here some where, planning the unload."

[Felicity]

Felicity paused to look around the hanger immediately after entering. She was carrying a moderately sized crate, albeit she had begun to struggle with it two thirds of the way from Storage. Now it felt heavy. The protective wooden case didn't help. Still, Nora was nearby so it wasn't much further. Felicity began to walk again toward Nora and the small group around her. She ducked her head down a little bit, wiggling her shoulders to try pushing up her hoodie. For once she wasn't wearing her hat.

[Dr. Reinhardt]

"I'll do an Archeological foray into the holds tonight and see if i can't dig anything up Sarge."

[Nora Crossette]

"I'd appreciate that, Doctor."

Nora smiled benevolently, and then her gaze shifted to the girl with the box.

"Ah, Felicity, where are you taking... whatever that is?"

There was a note of concern, though whether she worried about the spine of Felicity or the sanctity of her organization, it was hard to say.

[Felicity]

"The techs said they needed extra springs and tape from storage. I thought I should let you know Miss Crossette." She explained with a few glances to the others. She then set the crate down and took a few deeper breaths. "This has the springs. The tape box was a little too heavy."

[Nora Crossette]

"Ah... ask the crew for the hauler. I'd hate to see you put your back out, Felicity."

She gestured vaguely toward outer perimeter of the hangar where the freight elevators were, and added, "Then take a breather. I'm sure those boys can live without tape a little longer."
