"Ah! Yes I have been hearing, you found very old things...which means they are good, ja? Weapons of the Star League group? For a technician it must be most exciting."

“Ach, I have learnt the lesson well. I had never jumped on anything before, now I have.”
Quiet sigh
“It was nice to be the big one for once, but jumping is not the way of a first sergeant, the sergeant must behind and do the groundhitting”

You had better. Felicity crosses her arms and nods. However, she was otherwise staying quiet and where she was. Mentally she was hovering between trying to talk to Maja, as Bruun had suggested, or leaving her be.

The chatter about old tech helped get her talking.

"Eehm, I also want to know more about the Star League tech that we've brought back. Some of it I'd heard of, briefly, but nobody is making it anymore so I didn't hear much."

"Well, so far not leg actuators with fancy hydraulics. I mean, Highlander Burials were definitely a thing during the Star League. It'd not be surprising if they had equipment to make it less hazardous," he smiled, "Mostly we have found some fancy lasers and some very nice heat sinks."

[Felicity]

Felicity made a hand motion for Theodore to elaborate. "Yea...?"

Felicity made a hand motion for Theodore to elaborate. "Yea...?"

"These are two of the finest things that are in life, and they are better together. Will they go on Herr Yuri's machina?"

He nodded, "I am going to ask him after this big push to get things going before we get attacked. It might take some time especially the heat sinks. We had this large laser mostly installed by the time they brought the large pulse in. I'm not sure about what do do with the gauss rifle."

[Felicity]

"It looked really heavy." The gauss rifle was a massive piece of tech. It made her Kiara's PPC look small. "Does it even still work?"

“And what is the Gauss rifle? A very big laser?”

Felicity wasn't entirely sure either. Her memory of them was from a couple lessons on SLDF mechs. "Eehm, it's like a cannon. With a lot of big magnets, yea?" Magnets, how do they work?

[Theodore Beker]

"Old tech, not exactly my specialty at that. They work differently than an autocannon though," he shrugged, "I quickly figured that out looking at it. I can probably make the fancier lasers work as they are just more advanced versions of things I know... unless James has some sudden realization we might be better off pawning that for a million c-bills to the Lyrans."
