It's a Victory, if not a party (Day 6, EN)

"Ja, the ronin..."
Maja shakes her drink slightly
"They are bad people. They go to a house, kill the husband, take the wife, enslave the children. Why? Because many years ago somebody they never knew conquered the neighbourhood, and now that person is leaving. But the ronin stays and he kills and he hurts until someone finds and kills him back."

Bruun looks down, eyes closed, and takes several breaths. He grips the beer bottle tightly -- he would have crushed a can and had beer all over the place -- and when he looks back up at Maja he's clearly upset.

"I see," he says, very controlled. "I didn't know that. And it's probably better that I didn't, or I might have done things differently." Bruun sucks on his teeth, seeming conflicted about saying more. After a long drink of beer, he says quietly, "It's not ok to treat families that way." He drains the rest of the beer and looks half-way to throwing the bottle in anger.

“Hey now.”
Maja lightly pokes him in the shoulder
“This is my anger yes, it’s not for you. I am not wanting you to take any of it in.”
If she can she’ll gently take the bottle and place it carefully on a nearby table.

“Too much anger and it sits in your själ and then you are the ones which goes around killing.”

“Hey now.”
Maja lightly pokes him in the shoulder
“This is my anger yes, it’s not for you. I am not wanting you to take any of it in.”
If she can she’ll gently take the bottle and place it carefully on a nearby table.

“Too much anger and it sits in your själ and then you are the ones which goes around killing.”

Bruun lets her take the empty bottle, looking at where she poked him. He takes two heavy breaths and seems to start calming down.

"One, I have anger of my own. Hearing about people mistreated, especially children... Reckon that's a quick road to angry for me." He takes a deep breath.

"Two, you're my friend. So people that make you mad, are gonna make me a little mad too." With another deep breath, his voice seems back to normal.

"Three... Don't poke me." He pokes Maja in the shoulder like she had done, but more playfully, and raises an eyebrow to see if she's ready to move to joking.
