Re: T-1 Afternoon - Northern Hold Survey

Feel free to roll Investigation/Perception.

Let me know if you are doing a box by box search, or just going over the labels, as some boxes are unmarked.

Re: T-1 Afternoon - Northern Hold Survey

The process is pretty meandering, as Reinhardt soon finds himself lost amid the maze of crates, large and small. The hold is surprisingly easy to get turned about in, and even though the overall space isn't that large, the way it is packed, sometimes forcing him to climb over boxes, or duck under massive crates balanced on smaller piles, makes it hard to keep track of where he is.

After a while, he stumbles across a box with faded lettering which says "LRM" but the excitement fades when it clearly isn't a modern addition to the hold, covered as it is in a copious layer of dust. Some archaeologists instinct was triggered, however, that this label wasn't just old, but very, very old.

Takes a long look at the box, checking to see if it can easily be opened and resealed, or if opening it will make it unable to be closed again. He also looks to see if he can make out any other parts of the label.

Re: T-1 Afternoon - Northern Hold Survey

It looks like it could be opened without damaging the label, but it also looks like it's locked behind a passcode... though the lock battery had died a long time ago.

The label was still legible once dusted off with a gentle touch, as the paper peeled and tore easily. The box itself was painted with thick block letters, "LRM-Aldis, 200 ct"

After a careful clean, Reinhardt could make out most of the lable, though a few parts had crumbled away.

Re: T-1 Afternoon - Northern Hold Survey

"Somehow I don't think Service Rep Ji'ill will be taking my calls." He smiles, he starts to look around for any kind of location label and glances over his mapping program to try to figure out where he is. "Not much point in wandering off and not being able to find this place again." He frowns at the box again "Two tons of missing missiles is 240, this is five tons at 200, that means these are much heavier missiles." Oh look the PHD can do basic math.

Re: T-1 Afternoon - Northern Hold Survey

That, or whoever labeled the box couldn't... or they didn't refill it fully... or the powers that be edited numbers inaccurately... who knows who to blame, really...

Still, the box said nothing. It simply sat, ancient, out of battery, and likely where it had been for many a year.

Re: T-1 Afternoon - Northern Hold Survey

Reinhardt pinpoints to location on his mapping software and then attempts to find his way out so he can bring the box to the attention of Sarge.

Re: T-1 Afternoon - Northern Hold Survey

The mapping software is a, perhaps literal, lifesaver, and his route out isn't too hard to track.
