"Mechwarrior, that was a fine performance." James seemed to not care about her lack of modesty. He has been around mechwarriors enough that it was natural.

Mata nodded. "I liked how you stood up to the Grand Dragon in the end. It was really brave."

Re: Watching Warriors Work (DT-1, Afternoon, Simulator Room)

At that point in time Felicity was feeling bewildered surprise mixed with the intense discomfort of sweat and heat. Thankfully, the simulator was pumping in cool air now the scenario was over. Taking off her helmet so she could wipe her forehead and face was her very first priority. She reached for her hoodie to dab sweat off herself as she checked the post-simulation data. Her mech was functional, but the others were all banged up. Or taken out. Dammit. It might have been a victory by the scenario rules, but if this were the real thing it would see three mechs and some salvage taking an extended stay in the hanger. Likely weeks if not longer. They might have lost a pilot too.

Putting her hoodie back on first, Felicity would lift the hatch of her pod to slip out. Her hood was up of course. The garment soon clung to her, but it covered her up. It was oversized on her. That meant it covered her upper thighs, which was a bonus.

"Eeehm, how'd we do?" She asks, searching for and finding some water to glug down. She looked around to see how the others from Bravo were faring. Freja and Marik each got a firm nod, but Andrea would receive a slight wince. Felicity would try to find a spot to watch the next bout.

"Thanks," she said to man and then the little girl, taking a sip before adding "Freja Fogel."

This is how you talk to children, right? Treat them like adults?

She then noticed Felicity joining them and giving out nods like they were free candy on Halloween. A nod was given in return.

"You won. It was a difficult match, but you came out on top. I don't think better could be expected." Well, maybe.... James shook his head. They weren't relevant here. They were barely relevant back home.

"I guess..." Felicity didn't sound too convinced, but she didn't argue it. She tucked her hands into her hoodie pockets as she leaned in closer to better see the displays. "They're jumping straight in. Eehm, that's rough. That Shadowhawk will be just as annoying as the Jenner if not more." Did it need to be said that the biggest threat would still be the Grand Dragon?

"They should just do what we did," Freja said, deadpan. "Kick it a lot."

Mata takes her turn to speak. "Your Phoenix is neat. Theodore says it is really old. Does it come from the Star league days?

Having only really had a little heat, Marik walked out of his pod almost as fresh as he went in.

What little moisture there was gave the man an almost magazine-like sheen as he entered the drinking establishment after his teammates, giving a short bow to the Just Technician as he enters.

"Fellow warriors! I am glad to see all are well. It was a hard fought battle, no?"

Taking a nearby but not too close seat, he turned to the screen eagerly.

"Interesting - their plight is similar to ours. I wonder if they'll try and borrow or eschew our tactica..."

"It'll probably work, but please don't try doing that too often against heavy mechs." There was punching above your weight and then there was kicking above your reality.

She turned to Mata and nods after a moment's thought. "Si. Kiara's like a dinosaur."

To Marik she gently clears her throat. "Yea, it was. He's very good in that Dragon."

Mata looks on with amazement. "Wow. The Star League."

"You did a good job, Mechwarrior Marik."

Mata add, "I really like how you tried to take on the Grand Dragon by yourself. It was like in the stories my father told me about."
