What gave? (Day 1, EA)

[Alexei Herald]

"Hmmm."

Alexei stared at the gaping hole in the hull.

"Would you feel confident enough to help me answer a question? I'm wondering just how this little accident happened. I've flown dropships a long time, and my crew doesn't cut corners. This sort of thing shouldn't just happen with no warning signs, and if it did, I'm not sure it should look like this."

[Dr. Reinhardt]

"i would be more then happy to, Also just so you know there is an abandoned star port not to far away, there is a chance we might fine some spare ports for the Calico there if needed."

[Alexei Herald]

"That is good to know, yes... we may have to take a look."

Alexei stroked his mustache thoughtfully, and then added, "I'd like you to do this quietly, don't ask anyone you don't trust for help, Doctor. Just see if you can tell if there is any chance that what happened here wasn't an accident. If Calico wasn't special, none of us would be here to discuss this, and I'd like to be sure nobody wanted that to happen."

[Dr. Reinhardt]

Activates his small camera, "I'll take a look right away, sir" He starts examining the outter hull damage before moving on to the inner.

[Alexei Herald]

"Thank you, Doctor. It's just a hunch but my instincts are pretty good."

Straightening, he glanced at the man. "I'll be sure to tell Lucretzia - she can bill me for your work."

Rubbing the bridge of his nose, he added, "For that matter, be careful yourself. I don't want you to get hurt."

[Colette Rupelle]

Coming from a successful mission Colette noted these two talking. She giggled as if she wanted to play a prank on the two. She probably not the sneakiest girl but she had the height advantage. "Need a hand?" The girl popped between the two.

[Alexei Herald]

Alexei didn't jump in surprise, just glanced at the chipper chef with a quirked eyebrow. "Miss Rupelle. I didn't know you were a dropship mechanic. I'll make sure to tell the chief you're on your way to help repair it."

His tone was dry, but slightly humorous. All traces of the previous conversation were immediately gone, as if he had said nothing prior to her arrival.

[Colette Rupelle]

Colette giggled. "I may not be a mechanic but I can make a small drone to inspect damages." She giggled.

[Alexei Herald]

A moment of silence.

"You can?"
