It looked like the vehicles were scattered across a good half mile long, a quarter mile wide, stretch. The twisted earth, from a higher elevation, began to look like massive artillery impact craters, an the line of vehicles began to make a little more sense.

"What are the radiation levels like?" If it won't shrivel my balls to nothing or do other types of permanent damage it might be a good idea to see things at eye level." Not that he expected to find much of anything out there.

Andrea nods to herself... difficult with the bulky neurohelmet. She switched on the comms to Chow. "Alright, I will call it in and take up position to watch your back from here. Remember I am short on range so get too far out and I won't be able to immediately help."

She switches to the dropship. "Calico this is Andrea. We have an abandoned vehicle graveyard out here. Probable reactors on site. Be advised of minor radiation leak in area." She then gives the grid coordinates of her location.

None of the instruments showed anything life-threatening.

There were enough ghost readings that it was possible they could be wrong, but that was also common in areas with a lot of metal debris. Old battlefields could get spooky for soldiers for many reasons... and the sensor irregularities were one.

The comm, failing anyone bringing a signal relay, is a bit spotty, but it is confirmed by the watch-stander.

With not too much in the way of Radiation reported, Thomas would disembark from the mech given the chance.

Having a brief look around with his own eyes wasn't a bad idea.

Gillian maneuvered the Cicada to a flat area near the tail of the destroyed vehicle column, then released the hatch to let the infantryman out. “Stay safe,” she called to Thomas. “We’ll keep watch too.”

"Thanks." He wasn't in what he would prefer for gear but it would have to do. Readying his rifle he moved forward, eyes open as he approached one of the derelict vehicles.

It was... very derelict. In some strange sense is was sad. The crew had long been removed by scavengers, animals, or something... leaving only mostly gutted husks of machines behind.

Still, here and there, he could see sections of undamaged armor, some ancient but sheltered instrument panels, and some ammunition stowage that appeared untouched.

It might not be overflowing with answers... but it did seem to at least have a little bit of valuable salvage left.

"Looks like there might be some decent salvage here." Thomas mused mostly to himself. Before turning to give a thumbs up to Gillian and the other woman he hadnl't met.

It might be nice to bring somethign backl to show to the others, and so he looked around hoping to find somethign easily removable.

Unfortunately nothing stood out with a cursory glance, apart from the plates of armor that weren't yet destroyed.
