D2 -LA - Starport Recon

[Felicity]

"The tower might have answers. It doesn't look like anyone has opened the hangars all this time, so they can wait, si?"

Felicity moved her mech forward to approach the large control tower.

"Checking it is safe."

She watched the surroundings and her scanner closely for movement or power readings.

[Snorri Tycho]

"I mean, if they open up the hangers that's one hell of a choke point to pound them at. Mechs can wait outside if you want to sweep the tower"

[Felicity]

Interacting with her controls, Felicity switched frequency so only the other mechwarriors could hear her.

"Let's stay sharp, si? There could be anything here. Watch for mines."

[Comstar]

Everything was still and quiet.

No anomalous readings, though the mass of that tower would likely block anything inside.

[Felicity]

Open Comms once more.

"Looks clear. Ground team, you're up."

[Karlotta Roth]

She points with her head to Thomas, getting out of the car. "Press the charge. I will guard the backline."

[Dr. Reinhardt]

Reinhardt lets the five man ground security team do their security stuff before he and the other scientist get out and take their opportunity to have a look.

[Jan Novak]

Jan miraculously awoke as the car stopped, and seemed physically primed to get out and see the thing for himself, though he didn't crowd with the soldiers rushing out, having strong opinions about human congesting out of lack of forethought.

The three soldiers grabbed their guns, spreading out in a roughly triangular formation, with Kamaitachi in the lead.

They walked up to the door, and, to their surprise, the doors slowly slid open with a groan of ancient motors still operating after decades of waiting. Inside was a dark, cavernous space.

"Did anybody bring a light?"

[Dr. Reinhardt]

Dr. Reinhardt slings his pack over his back and turns on the small miners light attached to the head of his environmental suit, slowly moving forward to join the soldiers up front.
