Bruun looks moderately appalled.

"We, yeah, hopefully," he says, incredulous. "I reckon a place with that much... excitement... ain't someplace you can afford to lose your wing person." Bruun actually shudders a little, though it's not clear if it's from imagining Canopus or a memory of his own.

"It wasn't entirely that bad. I fell in with a few people there," he shrugged, "Bonded over cards. Went for drinks, went to see some acrobats, hijinks ensure..."

Bruun chuckles. "Sounds like a good holovid comedy," Bruun jokes. "I'm used to the punchline being, 'And he disappeared, that poor bastard.' And then everyone looks solemn for a minute."

He laughed. "Well, yeah, I suppose it had that sort of vibe to it. Maybe I should pitch it to some big wig next time I am back in the Lyran Commonwealth?"

[Dorgan Bruun]

Bruun laughs. "Hey, if you know the right people..." He shrugs. "Everything has to come from somewhere, right? Ain't like big wigs do all the work themselves. Most of 'em do as little as possible, right?" Bruun snorts derisively.

"I don't," he laughed, "Oh, well, it would probably get written off as it had to do with the Periphery."

[Dorgan Bruun]

"Haha, yeah," Bruun agreed. "Eventually there'll be a 'story worth telling' from the Periphery," he says optimistically. "Hopefully it won't be this expedition."
