Event: Reconnaissance in Force (Day 2, EE)

[Felicity]

Felicity does likewise after noting the final energy reading vanish. No hostiles detected.

"Armor would be good. Nice run Captain. We've taken down the enemy light lance." With their pants down! Felicity sounded elated over the communication channel. "I'm going to check on the other Locust and search for survivors. Sensor looks clear, over."

Turning about, Felicity launched her mech into a brisk walk. She wanted to make sure the other Locust was down. As she did she switched channels to just DJ.

"Good work. That was a perfect flank. Damn that Hussar can move."

[Snorri Tycho]

"You kept up too. I appreciate you cutting him off. You've got tactics Fee. I know we got them unaware and we jumped them, but that's the kind of fight I will take 10 times out of ten and I real happy I got someone who knows how to kick them when they're down"

Unlike the other squad.

[Nora Crossette]

Nora's voice crackled over the radio, faint but legible.

"Roger that - scopes are clear. I just got word the expedition had some action and are on their way back - the engineering crawler will secure the wrecks if you can hold the field. Good work you two."

[Snorri Tycho]

"Roger Roger QT. Condition is Green for both of us. Current field condition is held. Requesting infantry if we can spare them. We might get lucky and get a few survivors from the Locust and Wasp"

He pauses. "Captain, permission to actively ping for the away team?"

[Nora Crossette]

There was an extended pause, and then "We'll have security with the crawler. Captain Alexei is on route to check the away team - If you want to radio, try not to say anything you don't want overheard."

[Snorri Tycho]

"Acknowledged. Over and out." Snorri brought his Hussar back, rigging it up to the field relay.

"Lumberjack team, this is DJ Calico. Do you have any requests?"

[Felicity]

"Copy that Miss Crossette. Sorry we didn't leave you much. There should at least be some weapons and armor, and maybe enough Locust parts to get one working. See you soon, over."

Felicity was in a very good mood as she moved up onto one of the nearby hills to watch the area. She left Snorri to reach out over Comms further as she worked to calm herself down. The last few minutes had been a lot of excitement.

[Snorri Tycho]

Snorri waits a very long time for a response and gets nothing. In the end, it's not worth trying again. He climbs back into the cockpit.

"No word from the away team yet."

[Felicity]

Felicity replies via a local channel. Hopefully just for Snorri to hear. "They could be too far out, or busy with something. Maybe the Lumbermech fell over and they're having to help it up. I don't know who got stuck with it, but damn, si?"

[Snorri Tycho]

Snorri lets off a snort.

"Oh yeah. Whoever got that one is going to be pissed."
