Event: Reconnaissance in Force (Day 2, EE)

[Felicity]

"Vale?" She laughs loudly for a few moments. "Meanwhile we wiped out a whole lance with a little aero support. Hey, what did you do to that other Locust? The energy reading just vanished from my sensor."

[Snorri Tycho]

"Yeah, not bad for a days work. Let's hope they let us on ambush or first strike duty. I said it before, you have a knack for tactics. You're a lot more than a pretty face" Snorri pauses. " Not that, you know, your face is the only pretty part. Okay, shutting up now"

[Felicity]

"Dios mio, such revealing words, and here I was just starting to form a positive opinion of you DJ." Felicity retorts back merrily. "Definitely good work though. The Major should be pleased with this salvage. Doesn't look like we left any alive though. Shame that. It would have been good to question them, si?" She clears her throat. "You didn't say what you did to that Locust. Shot it? Nice shot if so, and good piloting too. You're alright senor."

[Snorri Tycho]

"Oh the one on the right? I pounded it fast and moved onto the Wasp. I took a look at the one you winged... It tried to eject but a hill was in the ejection path. Sir Issac Newton continues to be one deadly son of a bitch"

Snorri shrugs. "I never really counted kills. What mattered was that I survived and took minimal damage. The glory hogs were happy to get themselves shot up, I just liked walking home in one piece."

[Felicity]

Felicity snorts and quips back gleefully. "These guys weren't smart. Mechwarriors know the risks. It was Isaac Newton with a pinch of social Darwinism." Perhaps Felicity had something of a sadistic streak? Then again, arguably so too did most mechwarriors.

"Ohooo? You weren't. Pues, I'm two up. Uno dos! I'll be counting the whole time we're here." Gotta prove to Yuri that he's wrong. She shook her head before turning her mech to check out the Hussar. "Oh, you have taken a few impacts. The SRMs on the Quasit? Let's get your baby patched up after the crawler is done here." Her own mech had some armor damage, but it was much more heavily armored.

[Snorri Tycho]

"Better the armor than what's underneath" Snorri calls back.

"And we should have gotten more armor out of the process than anything we lost."

[Felicity]

"Yea. It did its job, si?"

Felicity covers her mouth as she feels a yawn coming. The adrenaline had faded now. She turned to root around in her storage for an energy bar. It would be some time before all the salvage was collected and they could head back to the hangar. Someone else would have to do a night watch.
