Rain Delays (Day 3 Late Afternoon, Patrol)

"Found anything, doc?" She yelled over the sound of the rain, also searching nearby but with much less results.

[Dr. Reinhardt]

He pulls out a shovel from his pack and tests the ground a little, "I think we have a buried stairwell right about here, judging from the layout of the building and the standard designs of pre-star league architects. "

[Thomas Moreno]

"So time for some digging then?" Thomas asked, glancing g towards Reinhardt. "I suppose I should of brought a shovel from the APC."

"Give me a couple and I'll go get what we have."

[Karlotta Roth]

The scene reminded her oddly of when they were training to make trenches. She approached them both running, her boots not letting her slipping in the rain. "Got one more as well?"

[Dr. Reinhardt]

Reinhardt is using a short collapsible Trawl, likely part of his camping supplies, not perfect for this work, but it would at least get it started as he tried to clear away where he thought the stairs should be.

[Thomas Moreno]

Hopefully the APC carried some supplies for entrenchment, and if so Thomas would return in a few moments with them, hoping to help the Doctorr and KArlotta unearth the stairwell down.

[Theodore Beker]

"I'll help Thomas get the shovels," Theo splashed off back into the grounds towards the APC.

This was an archaeological expedition, if there was one thing they didn't forget to pack, it was shovels.

Sadly, deep diggin in the mud was unpleasant and exhausting work.

Theodore was generally more in favour of machines for work like this but he had left his backhoe in his other pants. Still he could have done much worse at it.
