Felicity nods happily. "Yea, that's him. I'm partnered with him." She lifts a hand and waves it up in the air toward him. "Snorri! Come over here if you want to regale Miss DeTroyes with tales of your valor."

Chuckling, she focuses back on Andrea. She nods again with a smile. "Good guess! Two Locusts, a Wasp and a Quasit Militiamech. The industrialmech converted for combat. Know it? Anyway, we got in close as they began powering up. Must have been spotted, but it was too late for them. By the time they started moving Snorri had blown the back out of one Locust and I'd legged the other. I also took out the Wasp with my PPC. We ganged up on the Quasit as it tried to run away, taking a little damage. No big deal, si? We chased it and caused some damage. Somehow when kicking it we caused its arm to fall off. Funny, si?"

She grins and continues, thumbing back to the dropship for some reason. "Then, like some vengeful angel, we had aerofighter support! The dropship captain had radioed to ask us for a status update, and I thought that might mean they were in fact in LRM range. Nope. He was flying above and offering us aerial support. He flew in and opened up everything on the Quasit. Real big aerofighter too." Felicity stretched out her hands. "Much bigger than even my Phoenix. He ripped the Quasit apart." Now she gestured explosively, making fists and then popping her fingers out as she lifted her hands. "Hit the bastard's ammo through the armor. Nearly blinded Snorri and I for a few seconds. Huge explosion. Deafening. It left a little crater."

"Not much of a guess really. Locusts are everywhere." Andrea chuckled, "Ah...an aerospace fighter in operation? That is quite the boost to the company firepower. Were you able to tell what kind it was?"

"I wonder how much they were able to report back before they were destroyed." She mused, "I have been reviewing some of the old manuals from the AFFS, brushing up on my unit tactics and deeper strategic thinking...all of them make intelligence gathering a crucial piece of any successful operation."

"Do you think the Major will start sending us through the gate to see if we can find these pirate's hideout?"

Felicity had no idea. She shook her head at the question. "Not a clue. Only that it's on the bigger side."

She flashes a cheeky big grin as Andrea continues. "Not much if anything! Intelligence gathering is important, si, but they're pirates. We got three of them powering up and it didn't take long to destroy the last one. We didn't give them a chance. They're past that Gate thing, yea? It'd take quite the powerful communication array to handle that. I doubt they loaded one into a cheap Militiamech."

Making a thoughtful noise, Felicity wondered about that. "Probably. I mean, they want us to investigate the mines on that continent. We'll have to face the pirates again at some point. They probably want revenge." She chuckled with a slightly sadistic edge. "Morons." Closed cockpit funerals for you!

Chitter chatter about mech combat had never really interested Thomas, so he sat back and listened. Not really having anything to add.

"I see, I see." Andrea nods, "I suppose expecting them to behave like a real army was too much."

She glances to Colette, "Ah...so they have been raiding the locals as well? With the locals only having an Urbanmech I am surprised, not much to stop any attack. Were they paying some sort of tribute?"

"One sided fights tend to be easier." She smirks, "But you only send lights to recon...unless you are Steiner of course...I suspect they have something more substantial hidden away."

She rubs her head again, "Fighting in the mines can get exceedingly dangerous. Maybe the locals have an old map?"

"If we had more information I would advocate an immediate and aggressive attack to throw the enemy off balance. But not really feasible when they could have assault mechs in waiting. Unlikely as that."

"I like that idea. We need to find out some more information first then. Eehm... I wonder how. I mean, there's that kid we captured, but..." She shrugs slightly. "He probably doesn't know much. Next time we fight we ought to capture some of them."
