Gaming Development (D4 EE Bunks)

[Felicity]

After visiting town Felicity had gone for a shower. She had changed clothes and was still drying her hair with a towel as she headed back to her bunk. In the back of her mind she was anxious. What if the enemy launched their aerospace assets for a pre-emptive attack? Anything was possible.

[Theodore Beker]

There were some noises from one of the other rooms as she walked down the hall. "Hey KBB! You got everything set for the big day?" Theodore asked from his bunk where he sat with his noteputer in his lap.

[Felicity]

Felicity made a startled noise and her tail swung around and up as she looked for the owner of the voice. She stepped back to peek into the room she had passed. "That you Theodore? Eehm, aside from reinforcements or an upgraded mech, yea."

[Theodore Beker]

"Glad to see you still have a sense of humour about everything," he said as he looked over at her with a smirk, "You didn't strike me as one of those spend the night before battle brooding sorts." The distinct pause music of his video game played in the background.

[Felicity]

"Not got much choice. We're stuck here, si? Unless we somehow fix this heap of bolts overnight, which we both know isn't happening."

She followed his smirk and looked puzzled. "I'm actually somewhat restless. I probably won't sleep well. Sort of anxious and excited. Does that make sense?" She asks, hovering at his door as her tail swished about. Her black ears were turned his way. Que sea lo que dios quiera. She dabbed at her hair more with her towel. "Listening to music?"

[Theodore Beker]

"Ah, nah, I'd rather not be in a company that cuts and runs at the first sound of ronin scum when they are in full fighting shape. Fuck, we have spare mechs enough that you folks could limp back to base, switch rides and sortie again if you wanted."

He laughed lightening the mood. "Anyways I am playing some PenultimaQuest. Soundtrack isn't bad, right?"

He waved her in. "Come on in," he scooted over, "There is something resembling room."

[Felicity]

She chuckles at Theodore's bold suggestion. "Yea, I guess we could."

Felicity perked her head up, ears lifting slightly, so she could better hear. She nods but only enters when invited. "Eehm, okay. Sorry, my hair's wet. Just had a shower." She moved to sit beside him on his bed, peeking at the screen. "It's a game?"

[Theodore Beker]

"No worries it should dry out by the time I am actually ready for sleep," he grinned, "I think this is only the second time I've seen you out of that hoodie."

"Have you not heard of PenultimaQuest?" he gestured to the screen where a quartet of colourful character sprites stood in space while in large letters the word 'Pause' covered the center of the screen.

[Felicity]

"It's my favourite hoodie. I have a black one too." She says a little defensively, worrying he maybe had some issue with her hoodie. Right now she was in a close fitting tank top, her short shorts and boots. "Going to change into that in a bit. The red one needs another wash."

She shook her head, gaze focused on the screen. Her ears were twitching slightly. "No. I don't really play games." She turned her body a bit more so she wasn't craning her neck. "What's it about?"

[Theodore Beker]

He laughed, "It's fine. Given how cool this place is it's probably a good call."

"Well, it is a fantasy rpg. I have three characters I can cycle through for various actions as I explore the world of Cayeux. To, um, stop the wizard Karnov from conquering- Wait, no, this one is about opening a portal to Hades. Anyways, evil wizard. Got to stop him."
