It was a pretty good looking doll of a Marauder though.

Bruun starts to pick out a few bottles in preparation for not being able to shop again soon. He also tries to coax out of the seller whether they have anything extra special or good that they can part with at a fire sale price.

After some haggling, several bottles of old Samarkand Bourbon were extracted from a special safe in the back.

They wouldn't come cheap, but they were the real deal.

"Haha," Bruun exults. "My new, good friend, that's what I'm talking about!"

In the end, the veteran mechwarrior carefully wraps both bottles of bourbon, four of vodka, and two of shochu -- just because -- and organizes them into a backpack that he's not letting out of his sight. There are enough bottles that, even wrapped, they occasionally clink in the pack as he walks, but they're secure enough to travel.

"Bimester's supply at the end of the world? Peculiar." She replied with a smile.

Bruun almost missed the comment, basking in the glow of his successful negotiation.

"Bimes... Two months," he quickly calculates. "Oh, Roth, no way. Tomorrow goes well," he says with a cocky smile, "This won't last a week."

Well, people did with their money whatever they wanted. "Aye, there was an answer I didn't expect. Doesn't look like the kind who drinks." Guess that's why he's taking stuff from Tycho. "You drink with Tycho often?"

Meanwhile Felicity listened carefully to what James had to advise. It was all very useful information. Best forget the streaks then. The other two however...

"Thank you James. That's useful to know. I'm going to find out the prices. I'm terrible at haggling. Can you tell me if they sound reasonable?"

Assuming he agreed she would ask the merchant what each item would cost. She couldn't afford it, but maybe there would be some Company budget.

Well, people did with their money whatever they wanted. "Aye, there was an answer I didn't expect. Doesn't look like the kind who drinks." Guess that's why he's taking stuff from Tycho. "You drink with Tycho often?"

"Uh, no," Bruun says somewhat gruffly. He looks around to see that Andrea isn't within earshot at the time, and continues in a voice that won't carry.

"I had a particular drink in mind and needed to borrow something from Snorri. Part of this is repaying with interest. And an improvement in quality," he sighs and shakes his head. "Hopefully most of this disappears in a Fortunate Ones victory party."
