[Snorri Tycho]

"Nope. Being in the Academy. I wasn't exactly what you could call "popular" there. In a society of rigid hierarchies and a mandate to conform to the Kuritan fetish to dress up like an ancient samurai, a broke Rasalhague streetrat didn't exactly rank high on the "don't shit on this guy" list. And you've already seen my talent for making friends..." Snorri retracts his hand.

"It means "cute". In practice, in means sugar sweet cute and brightly colored. And girl, you are a special kind of adorable.

Snorri hesitates. "What word they called you? The callsign that was an insult? What does it mean?"

[Felicity]

"Pues, you don't seem to have any enemies at least." She points out. "Funny. Guess that makes us both the two unpopular cadets."

Felicity snorts and reaches out to gently push Snorri's shoulder. "What about me is sugar sweet and brightly coloured? I'd rather be complimented on something useful than being adorable. That sounds like I'm some school girl or a kitten."

At the callsign question she groans. "It's really stupid. There was this Chameleon trainer mech, and... hey, if I tell you then only you, the Major and Miss Crossette know. If I start hearing it I'm going to absolutely know it was you." She gives him a stern look. "Promise you can keep your mouth shut? I'll ask thump you if you start laughing." Quite the threat!

"Fee..." Snorri does his best to sound insulted. "I think I already mentioned that part where you're a brilliant tactician and a hell of a pilot. I...honestly don't think that there's anyone else I would rather be partnered up with as a one-two punch. Lance composition aside. Being cute as a button is only part of the badass package"

"Ok. I swear." He bites down onto the sleeve of his jacket to make sure that he doesn't let out any giggles.

[Felicity]

She makes a silly expression instantly. "So you did." Chuckling again, she smiles pleasantly. "Well, more the fool you. Repeat that next time before you call me adorable. Badass is much better than cute as a button, but I guess that ain't so bad. Okay, you pass." Humming playfully she looks out over the view once more. "Right, so, KBB. I got it because of how I looked, especially when I started to enjoy using the jump jets on that stupid old Chameleon. The instructor called me KBB one day and it spread, usually with muffled laughter from the boys. A week or so before graduation I heard them talking."

She runs a hand through her hair as her tail angrily slapped left and right behind her. "Kitty boing boing. Apparently I bounce when my mech bounces. And, yea." She vaguely gestures upwards toward her cat ears. "Stupid, si?"

Snorri releases his teeth from his jacket. "Oh, ok." I looks Felicity over, not not sending a quick glance at her chest, but trying to play it off.

"Yeah, that's a pretty stupid and degrading name. I mean, don't get me wrong, what you are describing that they saw would have probably been the highlight of teen Snorri's day." He holds up a hand, half expecting a smack, "But come on, you're talking about a whip smart, trash talking, brilliant mech pilot who happens to be incredibly easy on the eyes, and you want to insult that? Idiots."

[Felicity]

Right now her chest was well hidden behind her hoodie, but she was still shapely. The blanket wrapped about her made it harder to tell. Regardless, she caught his looks and she slowly crossed her arms under her chest. "I can handle stares, so maybe teen Snorri would have been fine, but it was everything else that became annoying." She didn't smack him.

At the parade of compliments she looked away, cheeks turning a bit red. "They were pretty dumb. Most of them were nobles. You know the type, si? Arrogant narcissists." She wiggled about uncomfortably. "Eehm, anyway, thanks. Maybe help me with a better call sign. Shortstack is kind of the same thing as KBB."

[Snorri Tycho]

"Sneerrgggh" Snorri can't hide the nasally snort or poorly suppressed laughter. "Fee, I got Kuritan nobles. Imagine your nobles, and throw on a big heaping pile of weeaboo onto it. So yeah, I know the type."

His gaze softens as she reminds him of the nickname he had chosen and why it had left a bad taste in her mouth. "Callsign, huh? Well, I mean, the obvious is out there...Cat. Cat o'nine tails. Whip. Whiplash? Lash?"

He looks her over. "I mean, I don't know if it's badass enough for you. But you are "whip smart", and bring the pain at a specific point. I don't know, how do you fit so much into such a tiny package? You manage it" He winks

[Felicity]

"Weeabooo?" Felicity chuckled a bit at Snorri's laughter, but she only partially understood. "So, they're worse. Got it."

The chuckle turns to a groan and then another, louder one, as he starts listing cat and then whip related callsigns.

"That... was so cheesy. I'm almost impressed at how much." She smirked as she extended her hand to gently flick his chest. "Do you practice lines like that in front of a mirror or what?"

"Nope. All natural... Which is more than I can say about you Miss prosthesis" Snorri grins back. " Well, if you're looking for something less obvious how about Willow? Short and sweet and to the point, and you're good with a gun. Though I don't think anyone will get that reference"

[Felicity]

She rolled her eyes, but she couldn't keep herself from smiling wide. "Fine."

The reference went over her head and she looked back to him with a blank expression. "Are there armed trees in the Draconis Combine?" ... "How? Why?"
