Event: Preparation in Depth (D4, LM, Briefing Room)

"I meant something like him sending a message. Like he sneaked around and found an opportunity to send it. I wouldn't suggest actually sending him back. I know all too well how pirates are."

[Andrea DeTroyes]

"I would recommend against such an action." Andrea remarked, "While it is tempting to let two enemies weaken themselves against each other...at this point we would risk being caught in a crossfire. It would be better to smash these Dragons as quickly as possible while portraying a superior level of strength to the pirates. In that regard we should probably keep them blind and fearful."

She rubbed her head, "If we portray enough strength to the pirates we may convince them to remain bunkered down until we are fully recovered."

[Thomas Moreno]

"I think I agree with Sergeant DeTroyes here." Thomas offered after a moment. "More players is likely to just make this messy. Especially if we can't exactly trust them."

[Karlotta Roth]

"When we got him, he was sent to sneak here. Not the optimal person for the job." She replied. "But yeah, we are in the middle of the two. Seeing mechas at our yard would be common."

[Felicity]

Felicity lifts her right hand as the issue seemed to be addressed. "Are there any other aspects to consider Major? For example, we likely cannot accept any requests from Echo Company to do major actions until this threat has passed. Even wide patrols would be a risk. Any exploration or big patrols would be splitting our forces and putting the scientists in harms way, yea? Have they signed off on that for their own protection?" She did not want them getting forced into breach of contract all because the Fortunate Ones were trying to fight off a whole Company of enemies to keep them everyone safe.

[Yuri Creed]

"I've spoken with Lucretzia and she knows the situation."

He glanced at the map. "The Echo company personnel are forbidden from movement north or west of the Calico - any actions they take elsewhere are done at their own risk while we are in full deployment."

Pointing to the the map, he summarized. "Our plan is this, then. We are going to deploy in two lances, south and east of the starport - if we can draw out any of their lighter elements and hammer them, we will, before withdrawing. If they don't attack the town, both lances will engage in a series of hit and fade ambushes through the switchbacks between Calico and the starport - if they do attack the town, and the locals request help, Vanguard lance will escort our infantry any remaining civilians from the hot zone - which will also provide us with a chance to hit the enemy while their forces are split."

Pointing to the routes, he then tapped a small bluff near Calico. "After those battles we reform here - depending on the situation I'll make the call on how we proceed from that point."
