It can be NPCs unless you want to stomp around in the rain.

You can assume that Alexei sent his crew to get what he needed on D4. I'm not going super in detail on dropship repairs, but primarily it was flow control parts - not very big/heavy, just delicate. Things necessary to keep engine from exploding again, and probably those being sabotaged was what caused the first failure.

After heavy use (combat/an expedition, for instance), maintenance will need to be performed on any equipment with a condition rating – for personal items, this will be a (item relevant skill)/Intelligence check at a TN of 15 + (5 x relevant modifier), and for vehicles, it will have to be accomplished by a trained technician.

Whats the relevant modifier for weapons?

The relevant modifier is, by default, 0. It can be increased/decreased by GM if necessary for extended fights or fights in very hostile environments, for instance. For badly degraded equipment recovered from the ruins, the modifier is 2 so +10 TN.

Can the 'Silent' Advantage from L5R also be added to the list of advantages please? (It's the one that gives +1k0 to stealth rolls)

Also, would you consider Kharmic Tie, Fallenash's frequent house rule advantage Equipment (to help purchase a key item without money?) and Absolute Direction?

Silent was intentionally left out - it's too efficient at padding stealth rolls for overly optimized characters.

Kharmic Tie felt a bit... L5R in nature, so I'm still considering that one. Equipment is possible, but somewhat covered under wealth - so finding the correct price range has been challenging.

Absolute Direction is definitely a fine one to add.
