Lily just smirked knowingly.

"Well... her recipe is twice as sweet as it needs to be. A few tweaks should get her what she says she wants."

Measuring out hops, she added, "We can start it, and with any luck when we come back after the battle, it'll be ready to bottle and age."

[Dorgan Bruun]

"Good. It's, ah, nice that you're helping her out," Bruun says. "I reckon it's hard to be accommodating to strangers sometimes."

[Lily Fielding]

"Well, it can be. But it's also a business opportunity."

Lily smiled slyly.

"If her recipe is good, I'll keep it."

[Dorgan Bruun]

Bruun looks at the cute bar keep suspiciously, but just grunts in response.

"Well, hopefully we won't be here so long that there's any kind of, uh, competition, right?" he half jokes to test her reaction.

[Lily Fielding]

"Competition?"

Lily glanced at him. "For what, Mr. Mercenary?"

[Dorgan Bruun]

Bruun loses focus for a moment, but recovers himself.

"Ah, I was just thinking about the recipe there. Sometimes people get competitive about a, uh, joint venture kind of thing." The veteran smiles. "And, uh, you should just call me Bruun, ma'am."

[Lily Fielding]

"As you wish, Bruun."

Something about how she said the name made it feel far more... intimiate, than it should.

Still she laughed, picking up the bucket full of hops, and headed toward the equipment with a chuckle, "No worries on that front - I know I'm the best brewer on Illium."

[Colette Rupelle]

"Sometimes a friendly competition is good fun." Colette giggled. "I don't care about my recipe if it works it will make many people happy." She smiled.

[Dorgan Bruun]

Bruun manages to just not say anything at all. Although he probably took a longer look at Lily as she walked away than he would have before.

Hearing Colette's voice brought him back. Sort of. A little friendly competition... over Bruun? Hmm... He gets lost in his thoughts for a time.

"Well... that's good, miss." She smiled at Colette, and moved beside her to look into the boiler. "Well... not bad at cleaning. You prep, you cook, I'm amazed you ain't someone's wife - must be a mile of men lining up and begging for the honor."
