Felicity sets down her things and returned to the pod she had been using. She gives a thumbs up to the suggestion. "Okay, see you in there Bruun. Whoever gets the most kills, wins." She liked some competition. Closing her pod door she strapped back in and tugged on the neurohelmet.

"You got it," he says, swinging into his own pod. After a few moments strapping in and orienting himself, Bruun starts reading the tactical situation. With a smile, he thinks he's found a way to be the hammer while Fee gets stuck as the anvil.

"You watch out for that Jenner over there, trying to flank you," he says, deceptively sounding helpful.

Felicity soon ended up having to draw the Jenner back and to evade as it chased her. Luckily, her piloting was good enough to see her keep some distance.

"It's hard getting to the range sweet spot. I miss my PPC." Felicity calls out over comms.

"Blondie's sweet spot is about a half-click closer than you think," Bruun recommends as he's firing jump jets to gain the flank shot he wanted. "Focus on your laser targeting and trust her to get the missiles where they need to be, even though you think you're too close."

Firing as he moves, Bruun weakens the leg of a Blackjack, and then kicks a giant dent in that leg. It starts to buckle slowly, but finally the enemy mech hits the ground with a satisfying thud. As he fires a volley of small lasers into the fallen mech's head, Bruun smiles and prepares to jump again.

She frowned in her pod. This was difficult to get used to. She was already struggling to move the mech around as naturally as she was used to. "I'll try it. Thanks." Taking his advice, she closed slightly before launching her next volley of LRMs. This time the majority of them hit. The Jenner was taking damage now.

Meanwhile Bruun was having to content with a fast moving Raven. It was trying to get behind him. He had the advantage in the difficult terrain with his jump jets however.

Bruun takes some time playing cat and mouse with the Raven, trying to get to close laser range without exposing the Firefly too much. Somewhat accidentally he ends up herding the Raven toward the Jenner, such that Fee and Bruun are coming at them from opposite ends and things look bleak for the simulated enemies.

The ranges end up being pretty good for splitting fire between both mechs, with the closer receiving blasts from the medium laser and the other being hit by LRMs.

"You'll have to finish them off Bruun. I just can't do enough pinpoint damage."

Bruun finally manages to hop into close enough range to light up one side of the Raven with lasers, staggering the machine before pushing in for a similar "kick in the shins" attack as he used on the Blackjack. Multitasker that he is, he starts attracting the Jenner's attention with LRM bursts, hoping to create an opening for Fee.

"Don't tell me you can't get it done! You're breakin' Blondie's heart," he says as he tries to finish off the fallen Raven.

"She's a fire support mech, not a finisher!" Felicity argues, firing both weapons and doing some damage, but nothing catastrophic. Her LRMs did help damage the leg of the Raven, causing it to topple over again as it tried to het up.

With a wave of hasty laser fire, Bruun unexpectedly blows out the ammunition of the fallen mech and almost knocks his Firefly over as he takes a somewhat stumbling step back from the explosion.

"Whew," he says, shaking it off. "Where's our other friend?"
