Know your enemy (D6 LA Briefing)

[Felicity]

"Eehm... something solid all round, with good mobility and punch. Decent armour and range if possible. I prefer faster, jump capable mechs that can still manage their heat well. Basically, I want everything." She grins cheekily. "It'd probably be easier to say what I don't like in a mech. Anything too poorly armoured, armed or slow would bother me. An all energy loadout would stop me having to worry about ammo and explosions."

[Theodore Beker]

"So you want a Wolverine 6M, Quickdraw or a Grasshopper," he laughed, "Or a Highlander if you were so lucky? I can't blame your taste but it is expensive."

[Felicity]

She looked up thoughtfully. "Grasshopper's are well armed and armoured. I'd like that, but they're a bit slow. I could settle for that if it was a Highlander however." Felicity started to smile. "Bullying mechs across a battlefield would be fun~" Her smile grows. "I can't remember what the Wolverine 6M has. Is that the one with the large laser? That's alright, but I do like my PPCs."

[Theodore Beker]

"A large and a medium in place of the autocannon. A bit brawlier but not crazy by comparison to the Grasshopper and Highlander cost wise," he laughed, "It almost sounds like you'd like an Awesome with jump jets!"

[Felicity]

"Is there a variant like that?" Felicity looked his way with intense interest.

[Theodore Beker]

"Not to the best of my knowledge. Awesomes are kind of focused on heat sinks and armour. Closest I can think of was some other weird old Rimworld mech I saw when looking through the technical readouts for the Phoenix. Cuirassier? Chasseurs? Dragoon? Anyways, it had some old Earth cavalry regimental type name."

Felicity lifted her right hand to make a pawing motion in the air. "Si?" She wanted to hear more.

He grinned, "Oh? Alright, but you aren't going to find one of these. 70 tonner, plenty of armour, 3 jump jets, and ER PPC and 2 class ten autocannons. The thing seemed full of lostech, extra light engines, ferro-fibrous plates, some type of autocannon feed system I hadn't heard of... you know the crazy stuff."

"Sounds fun. A little limited for mobility, but that firepower..." Felicity whistled softly.

"Well, you wanted an Awesome with jump jets. If you wanted higher mobility I already made those suggestions," he glanced at the screen, "I suppose I could do some overhaul of Blondie to add a PPC..."
