Aly turned his attention to the other sister. "Director Winters, if you could assist me, perhaps we can find some information that will help guide this endeavor."

The winters sisters glanced at each other, and then both answered, "Of course."

Then both glared at each other, and went to their tasks, with unusual motivation. Perhaps that enmity had uses after all.

Anastasia set to work helping Aloysius search for reference materials, notes, or other information that might help with the task at hand, single hand not seeming to slow her down as she rifled through stacks of papers with an experienced eye.

Lucretzia, meanwhile, settled into a console near Jan, running queries on the system and cataloguing responses - pulling out the useful terms and functions at a surprisingly brisk pace. Soon Jan had a half-functional function vocabulary to use when writing his transmission commands for the network.

Her help was slightly less efficient than her sister, and as a result, Ana couldn't hide a faint smirk, nor Lucretzia a faint scowl.

Ana and Aly worked quickly and efficiently, soon isolating and summarizing all of the relevant information. Then, Aly turned his attention to assisting with the computer work.

All the concerted effort notwithstanding, there was one brutal thing behind Jan's effort: he was not a dedicated computer scientist. And as it is with side-interests, they often come short of accomplishing real things. So it was this time, even if just barely. It looked like it might work, but in the end it didn't. At least not yet, though if there was something beyond yet was unclear for him.

The job was almost perfect - they did most everything right.

At least, it sure seemed that way.

Unfortunately, as the array rumbled into life, aligning sensors and projectors for long range transmission, the screen didn't show new data or any response for a long time.

Finally, a glitched array of words and broken code appeared.
