Calm Before the Storm (Day 16 EE, diner, open)

[Theodore Beker]

He slid in behind her, taking a moment to be mindful not to sit on her tail. "Oh?" he asked momentarily distracted by the bouncing, "I am after meat and vegetables for sure. I need a break from powdered this, flash frozen that, and some pickles on the side. Hmmm, jerk chicken with jollof rice and a salad or Jambalaya...? Choices."

[Felicity]

It was sticking out the back of the bench, so he was good for the moment.

"Meat and vegetables are the best. I might even try the goulash they have... jambalaya is tempting too, but I can always try some of yours, si?" She was already planning on having a nibble of whatever he ordered. Presumably she would share some of hers too. "Shall we go straight to the main?"

[Theodore Beker]

He chuckled, "Yeah, sure. I am kind of down for a drink and some sort of appetizer. Uh... mozza sticks, potato skins, maybe? I am definitely getting a milkshake."

[Comstar]

After a moment, the waiter returned. "So what can I get you guys to get started? Drinks? Food?"

[Theodore Beker]

"I am getting a chocolate milkshake, the big one, and the jambalaya," he looked at Felicity, "And an appetizer but I'll let her pick that."

[Felicity]

"They do milkshakes? Great! Me too! Ah, okay, appetizer, eehm... mozza sticks are good."

When the waiter came Felicity was quite animated as she looked quickly between the menu and the waiter. She was practically trembling from excitement. "Let's see... how about... a large banana milkshake... and... mozza sticks... and... eehm..." She flipped the menu around. "What do you recommend more? The roast, stew or chicken and rice?"

[Comstar]

"Well, chicken and rice is a bit hit or miss - the chef is better at the Irish Stew, pies, mash, fish and chips, that sort o thing." He grinned. "Don't tell her I said that, mind, but she seems to prefer all the food that'll put some meat on yer bones."

Taking down the orders, he added, "It'll be a few minutes on the jambalaya - but I'll have those shakes right out!" Turning, he meandered back toward the kitchen.

Once the waiter was out of the room Theo looked at Felicity. "I hope this isn't like that time I ordered humus in Thule. Don't order humus in the outer ends of Rasalhague."

[Felicity]

Felicity was pleased she had stew on the way. Of course she'd ordered that. She turned her head to face Theodore, her cat ears standing fully upright. "We'll see. I can always feed you some stew. Delicious, tasty, sweet stew. Nyaaaah." She moved to cuddle into his arm. "This was an excellent idea. Pues, if the food is good. Which I have high expectations for!"

He laughed and cuddled back. "Well, here is hoping. I still really hope they manage to make the jambalaya work," he glaced at her ears, "And fresh milk ought to be nice after living off spacer food for a while."
