Practice makes perfect (Day 15 Early Afternoon, Hangar)

[Thomas Moreno]

His own weapon came down in a block and he looked like he was about to slide forward into a unch, but decided aganist it as they were practicing blade work, instead attempting to psh her weapon to the side as he took a step back. Creating a bit of distance and bringing his weapon back up into the ready.

[Andrea DeTroyes]

Andrea kept her aggressive, recovering from the block and chasing after the infantryman as he attempts to open the distance. It meant her own strike was not as well aimed as the prior ones, perhaps just intended to keep Thomas off-balance.

[Thomas Moreno]

"Always chasing a fella." Thomas mused, keeping on the defensive for the moment as he started to look for holes in Andrea's defenses. "Almost makes me feel special."

[Andrea DeTroyes]

Andrea pulled back a second to reassess her attack, she smirked in response to his remark. "Quick on your feet, but a bit short on length." She waggles the sword at his knife. Andrea looks ready to say something else when suddenly she launches into another lunge.

"Isn't it all about the way you use it?" He asked raising an eyebrow? As she lunged he stepped into forward using his own weapon to deflect her lunge as he tried to close the distance and make an attack of his own.

[Andrea DeTroyes]

Andrea smiled, "True, true...but reach is always an advantage." As he closed she suddenly turned and pushed he back with her free hand, using the momentum to back up. "Until you get too close..." She dipped the sword tip and snapped it back up. "If you could stand back while I stab you." Her smirk was followed up by what started as a lunge but shifted to a crosscut mid stride.

"Why don't you come in all nice and close and i'll stab you instead?" He offered playfully., reversing the grip on his weapon and catching her blade as she cut. Stepping into the lunge again, his hand coming up in an attempt to push her off balance if it connected. "Playful as we are, I almost wish he had set up stakes." Thomas teased, he should of thought of that before they began.

[Andrea DeTroyes]

"I'll buy you a bottle of your choice if you win." Andrea hopped back again, almost losing her balance when he gave her the shove...but recovered quickly. The noble was certainly light on her feet and had reactions like a cat. But it was becoming obvious all the movement had begun to tire her, those quick reactions slowing every so slightly.

Perhaps recognizing that her stance turned defensive...then her sword dipped, a weakened sword arm disrupting her form perhaps?

"Oh, and what are you after if you win?" He asked as he watched her carefully. That looked like fegining weakness to him, but he decided to pursue anyways.

It was no fun to just sit back and it wouldn't sue to give her a chance to catch her breath. Flicking his blade back aroiund he feinted with a forward stab, before trnign it into a slash aimed at her weapin hand.

The movement caught her off guard, connecting enough to get her to drop her sword. Andrea sighs and shakes her hand.

"Irrelevant it seems."
