As Lucretzia an Dr Ren discussed the future and new exploration points, Colette decided to put herself to good work and start logging the damages and compare them to the old logs. Not her favorite task but her cheerfulness in the dialog kept people interested in what she had to assess. She walked around the perimeter.

"What we know for sure is the people we communicated with have Accurate Star League uniforms, which means either " 1st finger " They have been in stasis for centuries, " 2nd finger " They are the descendants of the original crew and have kept the uniforms in good conditions, and kept wearing them " 3rd finger "They are someone who found the wreckage/remains of the original crew and decided to wear the uniforms " 4th finger " They have traveled across the event horizen of a black hole and time traveled here " 5th finger, "They are incredibly accurate and gifted cosplayers who are playing a joke on us" he nods, "At least 4 of those 5 options implies they may have some star league era tech with them, and they seem to have been cut off from the inner sphere long enough to not know the current political situation."

"Right - and the trick is figuring out how to finance an expedition that far out to get in contact... and how to make sure they won't blow it to fragments if we do - if they found even a light corvette, or kept one active... we'd be defenseless against it." She massaged her temples, thinking over the situation. "As much as I'd like to just charter a jumpship... I can't just go rushing out without any preparations... and you're right. This is an even bigger lead than the one that brought us here. They might have working databases or examples of the tech... we could learn so much."

"The pirates apparently have a jumpship, and the Calico has a lot of SLDF uniforms, if you wanted to Trojan horse in to get them to talk, I mean they did say they were trying to reach the Star League right? "

[Lucretzia Winters]

"Yes, but I'd rather not leave us at their mercy when that deception fails... it will require planning. But that at least is a problem we might be able to solve. Doctor, if you are interested, I may yet have work for you, if I can work out the other details."

She was already looking thoughtful, as if turning over options internally.
